Bomber 95 is an intense game where you have to avoid bombs in a pretty small playing field. The game can get really chaotic especially because you are pitted against other players who are after you. This is all about strategically planting bombs to blast away other players while avoiding their attacks at the same time. 

It’s a blast! 

The mechanics of the game are pretty simple. It is the strategizing part that you will most likely feel pressured about because you will have to think very carefully where you are going to place your bombs to make sure it hits other players. Basically, it is a survival game and you have to make sure to be the last man standing at the end of it. Avoiding the bombs is one thing, but what makes the game really challenging is its small battle area that leaves you barely any space for movement. Escaping the bombs’ reach proves to be really difficult when there is nowhere you can run to because crates will be blocking your way. However, not all hope is lost because those crates can be removed by blasting them away as well. Explosions nearby will effectively make them disappear, giving you more room to hide in just in case an enemy puts a bomb around you. To add to that, the game is not entirely set on planning your demise. Power-ups are present and scattered in the field to help you avoid bombs and give you a bit of a breather. For instance, running through creates with the fire symbol will allow you to plant bombs that cover a long range. That is to say that when the bombs explode, the blasts do not cover a whole 3x3 area. Rather, it only reaches a space above, below, and on both of its sides. The power-ups make it possible to broaden the explosion’s range. 

Crazy, weird, but absolutely fun

The gameplay itself is already chaotic but that is not the only thing the rules are not the only thing that makes the game unique. Your game characters or avatars are out of the ordinary as well. Unlike in other games like Tomb of the Mask and Pac-Man, your avatar in Bomber 95 looks like a horrible lab experiment gone wrong. The game characters have human bodies with animal heads! To make things weirder, the game has 3D graphics and has paid attention to detail. Imagine running around the field in a panicked state with a pig’s head instead of human’s. Nevertheless, the game is a good combination of crazy and fun! 

Unexpectedly addicting

Bomber 95 looks like a pretty average game at first glance but it gets addicting so fast. The thrill and excitement of having to avoid bombs while trying to trap your opponents with one will make it hard for you to stop playing. Surviving and winning a round feels great and rewarding but will have you craving for action again.
